Hello!

I'm so excited to share with you someone I think is so amazing at what she does. Combining her love for dogs and interior design is something we share in common.Sally Brock highlights my mission for this blog. I created this blog to show you how to incorporate your fur baby into your home decor without compromising on style.

The moment I found Sally Brock Studio on Etsy I was drawn to the pug artwork. These pug prints have loads of personality while fastened on a wall! My favorite is Ms. Pearl, go here and you'll see why she makes me laugh! And just when I thought the artwork was great, Sally took it to another level with hand painted fabric that she sells by the yard!! I could use the fabric to make accent pillows, an attractive tote bag, and a dog bed for Abuu!

This is the type of artwork my design soul clings to. I'm so happy I got a chance to ask Sally a couple questions to get to know her and more about how she began her career. Check out the great questions below , shop on her Etsy site, and be sure to say hi to Ms. Pearl! And don't forget about Mr. Chunk!!

1. What inspired you to start your career?

- I have to say what has inspired me to start this career is my love of animals and my God given gift of creativity. I didn't learn to paint until I was fifty but I was a dog groomer for many years and like you, Shekeyse I also have an eye for interior design so it just seemed to all fall in place.

2. What's unique about your company?

-What has been kind of unique and a lot of fun for me is that I live in a small apartment and I have been able to set up a very small studio in my bedroom. It has double doors that open to a tiny grassed patio for my pugs and also opens up to a world all of my favorite fans my friends and neighbors. Each day they cheer me on as I do my work and the attention my pugs get is unbeatable.

3. Where did your passion for animals come from?

-I'm not sure where my passion for animals came from other than always having a pet growing up. I always wanted a cow but we lived in the suburbs. I did do research to see if the city would allow me to have one and they said I could if our neighbors all agreed. I went to each one of them and all but one said yes. I was so disappointed but now I can say pugs are a better choice and they sometimes act like pigs or cows or just their funny selves.

BONUS TIP:

If you could use a laugh or a smile. install the pug wallpaper as an instant "pick me up." apply to a bedroom wall, it will be the first and last Laugh/smile you have when waking up and going to bed.
